ABOUT ME

Personal Statement

I am a well-rounded, focused student with a strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and boundless enthusiasm who is seeking enrichment in my engineering education through creative, thoughtful, and precise problem-solving.

As a young artist, I am passionate about photography and enjoy taking stills of nature and its many assets. Personally, I am inspired by the environment around me and aim to capture the beauty that surrounds us all. Photography makes me much more observant and aware of the wonderful, subtle things that surround me each day. I notice the light, shadows, patterns, frames, and colors that make every moment unique. To me, photography is special, as it is both real and invented. It's a way to focus on a single, real aspect of our world, but still gives me the ability to place it in my own fabricated frame of reference. Photography can convey nuanced and meaningful emotion in an incredible way that is distinct to the medium.
